The Remains of the Day

sixteen people.

grown men.

an entire family.

a couple with a new baby.

teenagers.

sisters.

my friend, debbie, with a brand new life.

all stating their allegiance to Christ.

all standing up.

all laying it all down in the symbolic act of baptism.

all dying to Christ to rise again with new life.

sixteen people. one service. one church. so C3.

after the baptisms, we continued to worship and praise through song…”i’ll stand with arms high and heart abandoned, in awe of the One who gave it all, and i’ll stand my soul, Lord, to you surrendered – all i am is yours.”

we were one in voice and song.

we were in awe of what God has done and will continue to do.

we were challeged by God’s Word.

we were reminded that there is no sacrifice or price too high for the hope of one more heart.

a good day…a great day.

we are always grateful when God moves among us.

we left encouraged, inspired, and humbled – and more ready to be the church…to be C3.

sixteen more today.

and counting.

peace.
